I've noticed 3-4 courses regularly leveraging this site for public announcements....good on them.

We can only hope more follow this practice.

Sanding, aerating, and I think rolling; not just the greens but doing work on tee boxes, approach areas and sanding some of the fairways (?), from what could see. Looked like a small army out there this morning when I drove by.

Played in the first round of the OVGA senior championship on Friday (16). They had started punching and top dressing the fairways. I guess they figured it would take too much time to complete the work with golfers on the course. By closing the course, it will be done much faster and it is a lot safer for the workers.

The work was completed last night, they were working on the course until about 7:30 or so. The dethatched the tee boxes were removing the dead grass, the faiways were green again after looking sort of beige as they applied the top dress, and I saw them rolling the green on number 9 with what looked like a roller that you use for asphalt... They also, I believe have put a lot of water on the course. Hope you all have a good round today... I would be interesting in hearing how the course is playing I will be playing it Friday for sure.

Nothing....it's not worth knowing or talking about. The place is a disaster, not sure why anyone would waste time and money there.

That is hilarious. When I went by on Wednesday night all was green and all the heavy equipment was gone. So I made a big assumption. Looks like they are harvesting a tobacco field.

Nada !!! Been there once earlier this season ...... Once !!!! Have not been back !!! I remember the days around 15 years ago when it opened and it was quite enjoyable. Had some holes that, for me, had the Loch March look and feel and I thought this course has some potential. Well 'potential' left town and took me a lot of my friends with him ! Did not play it the last couple of years ( too many other courses around to enjoy ) but tried it again this season. Once !! The new Gatineau should put LVM out of business.

Yah it looked that way, made the fairway EXTRA narrow for us if we wanted to get some roll on our distance .

Played eQ yesterday, greens are still a bit bumpy, not yet full price conditions, so glad i got a deal.
overall course is looking good, not sure why they decided to do all this work mid-season though.

We are actually past mid season, and into a time where more growth is taking place. Aerating now means a full recovery in a relatively short time resulting in good conditions for fall golf. Aerate later and the greens will not fully recover and will be bumpy for the balance of the year.
