    Anyone using any Optishot mats?

Just wondering if anyone is using (or has used) any of the mats that surround the Optishot, either by itself, built into a larger stance mat, or used in conjunction with a separate stance mat.

    Any thoughts/opinions/reviews appreciated...

    thanks
    Andrew

I received the mat today and played 18 holes. Amazing is all I can say. The quality is fantastic. The surface is nice and thick. It's just like hitting at the range minus the green plastic residue on my clubs. I highly recommend it if you can afford it. (beware....this mat has NO warranty. Just a 30 day return policy.)

The bad news is that when I removed the stock turf I noticed a crack in the housing by the front sensor. I've only used it maybe 10 times but I've had it since December 2011 so I doubt DD will do anything for me. It seems to work fine, though I'm concerned it will get worse.

Boris's send an email to Optishot re the crack and limited use. Mention that you commented on this forum. You will be surprised that they may help you out.

Well I just received an automated response instructing me to purchase a replacement pad for $150 and ship the old one back at my expense. I'm not gonna do that since mine is still working and my wife would flip since I just spent $500 on a mat. I will call them tomorrow.

I called and they still want me to purchase a replacement pad...No one ever picks up the phone there. Always a machine that picks up. You leave your info in a message and they email you fairly quickly. It seems like they are avoiding talking to customers by phone. Not impressed. I would be hard pressed to recommend
this product due to the shoddy service and their lack of standing behind the quality of product.

Man.. I've had a rough day regarding customer support. I contacted Golf Simulator Guys because I noticed slight footprints appearing in the mat. Their video states that this issue specifically won't happen because they use rubber for the mats and not foam. Turns out the $500 mat has NO warranty and I basically got a short unapologetic response stating "This has never been an issue. The only thing we can do is accept it as a return if you want to go that route." No apology. No offer for exchange. Returns are minus shipping cost ($50) Return ship is at my cost ($50) and 20% restocking fee ($100) which works out to a $200 mat rental if I were to return it. This was the owner Bret Richards that emailed me. It probably won't end up being an issue, but I doubt I would do business with them again. I can't catch a break today.....

FWIW I have had a rough time getting through to DD via phone, and email took a while. That said, eventually, my questions were answered.

Word to Dancin' Dogg: Picking up the phone when it rings and answering emails in a timely way is marketing. So is open communication with your customers and potential customers.

    Just sayin'.

My impression is that they all have "day jobs" and get to their Optishot stuff when they have time.
