    Failure to complete hole

    Playing with a hot head when in a medal play round he doesnt finish the hole Ii know that per to 3-2

    If a competitor fails to hole out at any hole and does not correct his mistake before he makes a stroke on the next teeing ground or, in the case of the last hole of the round, before he leaves the putting green, he is disqualified.

    How does one correct the mistake?

    My guess replace ball as close as possible add a penalty and count the stroke?
