Pine View golf course slammed by twister; 20 trees knocked down
OTTAWA — A small tornado touched down at Pine View Municipal Golf Course Monday evening, ripping a 30 yard wide diagonal path through the property, according to Scott Mikkelsen, Pine View’s head golf professional.
“It’s pretty incredible, because on either side of that 30-yard tunnel, there’s no damage,” said Mikkelsen, who noted holes three and four of the championship course were the hardest hit.

Interesting - I had thought that the City closed down Pineview in its most recent budget. Is it under new management?

Played Saturday, very little damage to the course to speak of. Large trees down in area of #2 green, #3 & #4 tee box. No impact whatsoever... and shot 83, best round in a couple of years.
