    Tip Prep

Looking at a shaft on the bay. Guy says it hasn't been tipped. Came from an Adams driver and there is 1.5" of paint removal. I'm wondering what is the normal amount of tip prepping for a driver shaft for adapter and ferrule install?

    Thanks

Anywhere from 1-2". For excess prep, just buy a longer ferrule. It will cover it up just fine.

It depends on the seating depth of the club that it is going into

Not really. It's going into an adapter. It doesn't matter how far the adapter goes into the club. I was concerned with where the adapter and ferrule would sit.
