Players Championship
Looks like its gonna be another wild golf weekend.
82 of the top 100 will be there. More importantly, ALL 50 of the Top 50 in the world will there. Will be the first time that has ever happened.
And combined totals of majors in the field is 27.I've spent most of my life golfing .... the rest I've just wasted"

What an incredible round by Steve Jones. 64 (-8) that is very impressive
Strive for perfection, but never expect it!

How about Phil's 7 birdies?

His 7 birdies were nice but the double and 3 bogeys at the end of his round kinda sucked. :cryin
Nice to see Padraig up near the top. VJ is making a nice charge also.

Did you guys see Poulter’s brain fart yesterday. He marked his ball on the green, picked it up out of frustration and the ball flew out of his hand and in to the water. :blush
Luckily his coach was following him and volunteered to fetch the ball in 4 feet of what. Poulter would of had one stroke penalty if the ball was not retrieved.
Pretty hilarious.Strive for perfection, but never expect it!

the big question remains, will this tournament ever finish? it must get pretty annoying to these guys to have to be constantly stopping and starting, especially when they're on a streak, like Weir or Adam Scott

Here is the scene: I go for a nice walk with my wife and new son, enjoy the sun and fresh air, Mommy and son are going to take a nap this afternoon, so Daddy will watch golf. I sit down and within 10 seconds I see the guy with the horn: DOH!

Wow! Did Westwood ever get left behind. I'll bet he'll be thinking about that 3rd round for a while.
Poor Steve Jones. From first to worst. He's +11 thru 12 holes today, +10 overall. An 18 shot swing. Too bad, he's one of the nice guys too. When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

1) Steve Jones will likely have the strange honour of having the best and worst rounds in the same tournament. I wonder if this has ever happened before?
2) Tom Lehman had better stick around. -8 is looking pretty good right now. It would be fun to see an 8-way playoff. When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

I wonder if Pete Dye thinks those people who make the "World's Toughest Golf Holes" calendars are a bunch of candy-ass wimps...

The leaderboard at The Masters should be different where driving the ball long will be a prerequisite, bringing TW, VS, EE and PM back in the hunt, however, the TPC was great to watch while it lasted.

It sure helped that TPC is Funk's home course, imagine playing that course every month/week. Glad he won.
