How far to stand from a net?
I am looking to setup a net in my basement (9' ceilings. I feel good up to a hybrid. Driver works but it is a bit closer than I like) and am wondering how far from the ball to people like to set up the net. is 6' enough or do I need like 10? I have room to stand back ~15 but I figure it will be easier to have to protect less surface area from shanks and popups. If anyone has a free standing net they like (I want to be able to move it to the garage during part of the year for driver practiceNot really concerned about protecting the walls in there), I would also like to hear about it.

Goat. I have 12 ft from ball to screen but side and top curtains for protection.
Answer is your sim has to feel comfortable hitting. I find close screens do not allow normal swing.
Trial and error.

I am in my garage and I am SUPER TIGHT on space. I have 13 foot ceilings which isnt the issue. However I only have 10' wide and maybe 15-16' deep total of hitting space. I make it work with a Net Return simulator series. I'll take measurments when I get a chance. If I had to guess I probably have about 8 feet from screen to tee. It's close and it was sort of uncomfortable at first. But I managed to adjust and I know i'm adjusting because i've managed to increase my swing speed since building the hitting bay.
