Am I the only one who has been noticing the obnoxious galleries lately? I have been watching Travellers for the last couple of days, and people are shouting such ridiculous and moronic things on the tees. I just watched Justin Rose tee off and they were yelling during his downswing. Bubba's caddy had to give the gallery crap for talking during his pre-shot routine and as he was in his backswing.

Are people just attention hungry and want to be on National TV? Yelling. "Loaf of bread", for example....

Now not to be stereotypical, but this seems to happen in the USA predominantly. I watch quite a few European Tour events and LPGA when they're overseas as well, and the gallery seem to have a clue and are quiet during the golfer's time to hit the ball. Do they have more respect or aren't such attention whores? No clue...

I plan on going to the RBC Canadian Open, and if someone screams stupid stuff, I'll be throwing my hotdog at them (lots of ketchup).

Don't get me wrong...The excitement and when the fans get into the round, is pretty good I think. But why shout like a complete idiot on the tee box completely random things? I think people being so ignorant as to be speaking while a player is teeing off is more ridiculous....

I'm sure a lot of it could be cured by ending alcohol sales, but I don't see tournaments doing that.
