Server move

We moved the forum server today and we are now running on the new system.

Performance looks to be much better and all is working

On the downside we seem to have corrupted some of the images in the database, so please re-up your avatars if they are busted. Sorry for any inconvenience.

I still have some tinkering to do, but let me know if there are any other serious problems.

Sorry 'bout that. It has been a very long day, and there was much hair pulling over the corrupt graphics. New graphics are just fine, so I decided to let it go and get the board back online.
Everything else seems to be just fine.

Use the Attachment Manager to remove the image first then add it back in.

Thanks for the heads up. No, you are not alone in this one. I am working on it. Funny thing, the email you need to reply to to register is working, but new post notification is not. Seems to be 2 different post methods being used. I am sure we will have this sorted out soon. Stay tuned.

all e-mail notification on posts made after the change seems fine. The problem seems to come from old posts. If I took part in a discussion that dates before the change and a user writes a new post today, I won’t be notified.

I wonder if the old subscription list was wiped out during the move. Could you check to see in your profile if you still have subscriptions listed for the old threads?

That's wierd. I never have notification on, but I did to test this. Can you give me a link to a thread with an old notification in it so I can test somethig?

Dan. I'm not getting confirmation on replys to my PM's. It's still showing that I have an unread message in my folder and I've replied to it twice.

I'm having the same problem.

Also, some avatars (including mine) seem to show up fine on my computer at the office, but not on my computer at home.

I think this is a caching issue. On some computers the image is cached so it displays correctly, where others are showing the corrupted one.

Not the case. I deleted all my temp and cached files and some avatars still look corrupt.

Funny cause Dan’s « Ottawa Golf » avatar looks ok on my screen but Steve’s identical avatar is corrupt.
