My Footjoys are not being joyfull to my feet

Wondering if anyone else may have had this issue with their shoes.

I bought my Foot Joys a few seasons ago, and really only played a few rounds in them, they felt great after upgrading from my old Reebok golf shoes (Which I still wear for dress shoes)

But I've started to notice now that I'm playing a bit more in the shoes, that by the end of the round my feet are killing me, and they seem to be rubbing the backs of my feet raw.

any ideas on things I can try to help with this?

There was a thread on a similar topic last year: http://forum.ottawagolf.com/showthre...s-from-Golfing

Sounds like maybe your shoes just don't fit correctly. I put a suggestion in that other thread about a different way to lace up your shoes that may help... or may make no difference what-so-ever.

Sounds like simply a wrong shoe for your particular feet. I have 4 pairs of Footjoy Contours and swear by them. In order to help your situation without having to purchase new shoes, you may wish to try some moleskin (pick it up in any drugstore) and cut a piece to fit inside your shoe at the back of the heal. Better fitting shoes, however, would be the long term solution...

I also own 2 pairs of FJ Contours and they are quite comfortable, I would suggest trying True Linkswear Tours, I find them very comfortable.
    Obviously you're not a golfer.

Everyone's feet are different. These may not be the shoes for you. I'm running the Contours with the BOA retention system. I love 'em. No pressure points from the laces being too tight.

If they are rubbing, they are too loose. Try wearing an extra pair of socks. Insoles might work, but they might also raise your heel too high inside the shoe so it does not cup the back of your foot properly, and will make the rubbing worse.

=1 for the trues... they are great feeling shoes, I am a big guy and I found the trues are the only shoes I have ever worn that I can walk 18 in without sore feet.

and the line is broad enough to appeal to moat golfers.. the phx are on sale for $69 right now at GT, and the protos are the high end version, and they look crazy comfortable at a more conventional price.
