Tip Diameter-New Cally 454
Custom ordered a new Callaway 454 driver with YS-6 shaft (the YS-6 is a listed Callaway option). Picked it up last night. Noticed when I got home the shaft is a .335 tip, not .350. I thought all their shafts in this club were .350 due to the 454 c.c. head size. I called Callaway today and they advised the hosel on the 454 is .350. They advised they don't carry the .350 tip YS-6 shaft, and then went on to explain in technical detail (over my head) how they install it and why the .335 tip is O.K. My question is...do I need to be concerned with having a .335 tip in this size head, and especially since the club head is made for a .350 tip? (It looks somewhat disconcerting,to my eye at least, the thin tip and large head).

Shaft tip
Shouldn't be a problem. I have a .335 shaft in a .350 head. They just put a shim between the head and shaft. Playability is negligable. I have had a .350 shaft in a .350 head and I can't tell the difference.
