Game Golf
OK it is not going to work in a golf Sim but for the real green stuff this will be invaluable tech to lower the handicap:

Looks great. Could be some time before they get beyond USA and Canada though. And the $50 annual sub fee is a bit of a niggle too.

Agree about the niggle. Would have thought they were simply getting GPS maps from a reliable source rather than mapping. Should be quick ....

Guys this stat device is $250. Too much $ for that type of info. Share your stats? Who wants to hear about others stats? I go by the 10 second rule. Ie you have 10 seconds to tell me your score and how your round played. After 10 seconds we all start tuning out.

I would not use it to share. Just after game analysis to improve.

I like the thought of having game stats. There at several iPhone/Skycaddy/GPS units that will do the same thing. in fact some iPhone apps are free. They are however not as easy and seamless as this unit. The thing I don't like about this is adding the base to my belt or butt piece to my club as well as adding the activation of the club to my routine. No thanks!

Yes easy and seamless is the go. I would not wear on belt. My Gps is on the bag ,parked level at ball and this would be too. Routine of touching on would occur at time club taken out of bag- before preshot routine. Only drawback would be plugs at end of club.

I invested in their Indiegogo campaign a few months ago, so I should have mine in 6-8 weeks. I'm not really interested in the social media service, which is what the annual subscription cost is for, I just plan on using it to track stats. I SUCK at taking the time to record detailed stats during a round and think it will be worth the $149 I put up for it, just for the stats alone. I don't mind keeping the base device attached to my belt when I play, since I'm used to wearing a cell phone holster. I don't think I'll really notice it, nor the club plugs after a round, or so (if that).

I caught the advertising for this product the last few weeks. I'm curious is anyone has tried this in Ottawa. They seem to have most of the courses mapped at this point.

Any feedback would be great.
