Hi all,

Going to Vancouver next week, I'm looking to get a couple rounds in. I won't have time to go to Whistler or anywhere 30minutes+ from downtown. Any ideas on public courses? I was thinking of checking out the UBC.

In addition to UBC, you can also check out Fraserview. Mayfair Lakes in Richmond is a decent track too.

I always play UBC when I am in Vancouver, it was about a 30 minute bus ride from downtown, No. 4 Bus...I always rented my clubs(they were Rocketballz last time I was there) there as well, just brought my golf shoes, glove, a few balls and tees. Easy to go for a round after work, you just have to walk on as a single...I never had an issue joining a group...

Thanks for your input, UBC sounds like my best bet.

I was debating taking my golf bag or renting. It's an extra 40$ (20$ each way) in excess baggage fee with West Jet, so not a big deal. Only thing is if I'm taking a bus the convenience of renting clubs is most appealing, especially now that I know they are somewhat decent clubs.

I usually golfed once or twice while I was there, and always went to UBC...It was just so convenient to go out and get a round in after the office and get back downtown without having to rent a car, and the hassle of me dragging my golf clubs around with me in airports and the extra fees...if it was a golf vacation for me, I would have brought my clubs...

You will enjoy city of Vancouver and all the golf courses...
