Eagle Creek opening on the 8th of April? Only if they confine play to the clubhouse.

Eagle creek on the 8th!!!! Spring better show up fast cause I am not seeing that happening. I still have over 20 inches of compact snow in my backyard. :cryin I hope I am wrong cause I would love to play 18 at EC in the first week of April.
Strive for perfection, but never expect it!

hey i don't care if at Eagle you have water up to your knees on your pant legs by the end of the round, and you are bringing up water when your ball skids on the green, if its open, i'll be there!! I second the notion, MELT SNOW MELT

Eagle Creek is always one of the first to open. And it's usually in pretty good shape right off the bat too.

Needless to say, the dates are tentative at this point.
Eagle Creek is sand based and has excellent drainage. As jvincent says, they are always one of the first to open. They open as soon as the snow is gone and the course is always in amazingly good shape in early April.

I played Nation on April 2nd last year. I doubt that is gonna happen again, but they are usually one of the first tracks to open as well. Who knows a good rain dance, cause we need it.

We need to pray for rain. daytime temperatures above zero and lots of rain. I predict a late starting season, but I hope I'm wrong.

They clear the green!
I noticed yesterday that courses in Aylmer cleared their greens, the Royal, Chateau, Gatineau. In a week or so we will see the whole greens and that means we can play.
Just want to share that. Get ready guys!

The grass around the greens and tee boxes at The Marshes is visible.
When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

I think We're all crazy. What's worse watching snow melt or grass grow.

My wife said to me this morning: "I can't wait for the snow to melt"
I replied: "you can't wait? YOU can't wait?!? Do you have ANY IDEA how hard this winter has been on me?? I'n not sure I can last much longer... etc, etc.." Its become a strange mix of irritability and anxiety and anticipation.
