    Grinding wedges

Curious if anyone here does it to theirs?

I am thinking about grinding my 60* to allow for a bit more versatility. The back of the club is way too square and I want to cut down the back edge/round it off.

I've never done it myself , but if if this is what you want to do , it would be really easy with the right equipment (grinder , polishing disks etc) , but remember you'll be removing the chrome or plating , and it'll rust wherever you've removed metal.
At the end of the day ... It gets dark

Just to add to Wilster's comment, as he pretty much nailed it:

I havent ground relief on my wedges, but have filed and ground to clean up the occassional rock chip etc. If you are using a grinding wheel (stone disk) keep some water handy as the material will heat up rather quickly depending on how much material you are removing (i ended up wear gloves if I was removing alot of material...learned that one the hard way)... for what its worth in my opinon slower is better, only remove a little material at a time.

Another item from reading others grinding their wedges is to wear a mask while grinding chrome wedges as chrome dust isn't nice stuff.

My wedges were unchromed so not a big deal when considering chrome..however I still wore a mask and safety glasses, personal preference.

You will also lose a substantial amount of weight depending on how much you remove.

    It's worth a try Jeff.
You only get out of something what you put into it

Yes I so for my Vokey wedge at Al's clubhouse in Greely, he has the grinder to do it, and it worked out quite well. I could post some pics.

Yeha, wouldn't mind seeing what he can do.

I am thinking about doing it myself though.
