It's a lot of work to do it properly.

What brand of club is it ?

Is it persimmon or laminated maple ? Does it have a shaft pin just above the heel on the hosel ? Older clubs used .295 tip diameter shafts, if so, the hosel would need to be bored out.

Exactly and whipping might have to be done and a heated rod would have to be used for removing the old shft. Not an easy task for sure.

tx, I'll send ya a note.

To answer some questions, it's not a hickory or anything, just a wood from the 80s I've decided I might want to bag this year. Regular steel shaft that looks to be glued to the wood and lashed. There is a small piece missing frmp the head, but the head is strill on solid. I was watching sm elashing vids and htiking about just lashing it up myself, but I'm more interested if it can be saved and reshafted with another old wood I have lying around.

    will send PM.
