    Shaft Selection Database????

Does anyone know of a shaft selection database or something that exists ie."Shaft Selector" that would aid clubmakers in recommending new shafts or replacement shafts for customers. As a small clubmaker, it is difficult to stay on top of all of the new and old shaft options out there and their characteristics. It would be great if someone came to you and said my swing speed is "x", I want something with low torque, high ball flight, etc. and I could plug in the data and ultimately give the customer several options in several different price ranges. I thought the Golfsmith website had exactly that tool, but it never seems to work??? I'm curious to see what fellow clubmakers are using out there for this process. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, Tom Wishon has done this, he has software you can buy that will help with this process.
Call them and ask about it: http://wishongolf.com/contact-us/

    Golfworks.ca also has this: http://www.golfworks.ca/images/art/ShaftMPF.pdf
This is what I use to help buy shafts, it helps rate shaft playability factor.
    Obviously you're not a golfer.

http://www.hirekogolf.com/index.php/...tting-addendum 2013 Shaft Fitting Addendum chapter 5 DSFI listing. A bit wordy, but it really gets you pointed in the right direction.
