Montreal Golf Questions
Hey Everyone,
I have recently relocated to Montreal, and need some golf advice. I am on the West Island, Beaconsfield to be exact, and have a few questions...
1) Due to budget, I am still stuck playing inexpensive courses, can anyone recommend one or two that aren't too long of a drive? I found Meadowbrook and Dorval Municipal online, but was wondering if anyone had some insight.
2) Is there a redbook-type deal in Montreal? For those who aren't familiar with the redbook, it's a coupon book full or 2-for-1s and such that features many, many courses in Eastern Ontario. Or does anyone have a good source for finding coupons? I missed the golf show, was there coupons to be found there?
3) What about Practice Facilities? Someone mentioned there is a year-round outdoor range in Kirkland, does anyone know what that is called?
4) I am assuming that opening dates are much the same as they were in Ottawa, but I know that the Predator/Falcon generally are the first course to open within a two hour drive, anyone have any different info?
5) Is there a Montreal Golf Forum (French is ok) much like this board?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

The indoor driving range is called West Island Golf Dome. Here's the website
http://www.golfdomewestisland.com/main.cfm
For decent courses around West-Montreal other than the ones you have listed are : Club de golf Deux Montagnes http://www.golfdeux-montagnes.com/ also there is Golf Atlantide http://www.golfatlantide.com . These 2 are within 15-20 minutes drive from West-Island.

Atlantide is a really nice track. It's a bit more expensive than Deux Montagnes but in my opinion well worth it. Getting tee times is relatively easy.
Thx...

Nation is not that long of a drive from Montreal. I have friends that make the trip to play there.

Buddy what is your budget? How far of a drive are you willing to take?

Dorval Muni. is not a bad course but there are far superior courses for similar prices.
