Edwin Watts - Driver Test Results
Does Anybody have any experience with Tour Edge Exotics XCG6?
It seems a winner driver for Distance and Accuracy..

I just bought one from GT with the Matrix Ozik 6.1 S shaft. I really like it. Longer, with as good dispersion as the G25, both of which I tested extensively on the sims at GT and elsewhere. GT has demo models, but no in store stock. However, they can order one for you and have it in about 4 days. I recommend that you give it a test drive and see if it suits your swing.

@ Steerpike...
Just wondering what you thought of the G25?
What is your swing speed?
What shaft did you try?
Any feedback is appreciated.

SS is ~95 on a good day. I liked the G25 (9.5* TFC 189 S-flex) so much, I originally bought it from GT after testing it against my G15 (9* Aldila Serrano 60-S) which has served me well the past 2 years. The G25 launched higher, was a little longer and on GT's sims had good dispersion. My results at the sims elsewhere were not as consistent - a few strong hooks too many with the G25, with the G15 continuing to perform as expected. I then put the G15 head to head with the G25 and found that if I had to pick one of the two to play a match, I had a little more confidence in the G15. I thought it might be the stock shaft that came with it, but I tried the Fujikura Blur Red 005 shaft at GT and it was not as good for my swing as the stock shaft. That's when I tried just for fun the Tour Edge - what a difference! Less spin, lower trajectory and more carry. GT let me trade the G25 in for a new XCG6 with full credit from the original purchase price on the G25 ($399) leaving me with a credit on the slightly lower priced XCG6. I left happy.

Thanks for the info. I don't put too much value in the sims because the new GT sims had me hitting nice high draws with the new X Hot 3 wood and I play a straight or slide fade ball flight all the time. That being said, the distance on the sims was pretty close to what I got outside with the X Hot, so maybe the ball speed and launch angles are more accurate than the actual ball flight (hook/fade/draw/slice).
I bought the G25 because of the feel primarily. I also ordered a 44.5" V2 shaft which is what I prefer, in addition to the stock Tour Stiff (I wanted a lower launch angle).
