Thinking about buying a GPS watch. I really like the Garmin S3 especially the distance to doglegs and layups feature. Unfortunately the SkyCaddie doesn't offer this feature. However I can't help but think the course mapping that SkyCaddie does on every course, has to make them the most accurate devices of any GPS. In fact just for that reason alone I don't know why anyone would buy anything but a Skycaddie, because if your not getting accurate distances, what's the point in even having one of these devices? So a couple of things... is the course mapping feature that Skycaddie has just a brilliant marketing ploy or does it really have merit? If I had a Garmin S3 and a Skycaddie side by side am I going to get different distance readings?

If the Skycaddie really is that much more accurate then I think I'll wait until they come out with a watch that has the distance to doglegs/layup feature. I'm assuming they will because wouldn't they want to at least keep up with their competitors?
