Perfect Parallel
The perfect parallel site has been quiet for a while. On the forums there, they said they are working on a completely new website, and have also been working on some deal to use their software on television broadcasts to render holes for fly-bys and stuff. Their facebook page has some images posted today...looks like they're being used for masters coverage. I think this might just be in the UK based on forum posts. Pretty cool though...they obviously have a version of Augusta created for their engine, so if the software makes it to market for simulators someday it would be nice if Augusta could be played. Ideally with multiple tees...I never play it on red chain's software because the only tees (championship length) are a killer. I do practice on hole 12 a lot though.

Seems like things in the golf simulator world have been slower than usual this year, RDH. That especially applies to the software. I am not holding out much hope for Perfect Parallel but may be pleasantly surprized one day. I would hold more hope for the E6ii.
I love Augusta but do wish there were other tees to play from.

I agree psace...things are moving slow. I agree on the E6II comment too. That looked damn cool, and the fact that they're approaching it purely as simulation software keeps them focused and (hopefully) on track to a release. Perfect parallel is doing too many different things with their software...new course modeling, television broadcast fly-bys, PC golf game and (maybe lowest on their priority list) simulation software.
Hopefully by the end of 2013 we have at least one exciting option come to fruition. I haven't heard a thing about red chain's new version in ages...not sure if that's even happening now. And you need new exciting software psace...you're retired and have time to enjoy it!

Looks like PP will have a simulator edition available! I wonder which simulator manufacturer they will pair up with or whether it may be used in a number of different simulators.Cant wait

I have sent Matt at Foresight an email lobbying for them to take on PP. Can all GC2 owners do the same please.

First simulator action from PP. Apparently the crew are going to NY this week to test a more complete version for this course and Augusta on an un-named simulator.

Great link, thanks. Can't wait to hear which simulators it will integrate with, and when...

Have emailed Matt as requested. Wasn't that impressed with the video - doesn't appear to be any advance on Red Chain in terms of quality of graphics.

Video released the other day of a lip-out. Lip-out not too convincing but the course is looking good. Sounds like alpha is going to be released soon when they work out the best way to go about it.
