Question about lower spin shafts and driver heads
Does anyone know of shafts or driver heads that are definitely lower spin than others? I'm looking for a x-stiff shaft with a very firm tip due to my swing speed that can drop spin numbers down along with a driver head..apparently some driver heads have less spin than others. Any suggestions or combos that you know of would be great. I've done some research but I'm getting a ton of different answers. A shaft that was recommended to me was the Accra Z tour but I think it's pricey, not sure if anything else out there is cheaper and possibly better as well. I know the swing along with impact angle has more to do with bad spin numbers, I plan on trying to tweak my swing to improve this but I could use some added equipment help as well. Any Suggestions would be great. Thanks

Ping Anser, TM Superdeep are low spinners

Bridgestone J33 460 is one of the lowest spinning heads out there.
As for shafts: Aldila ProtoPype 70 or 80x
Grafalloy Prolaunch Red
Graphite Design Throttle
Bi-Matrix shafts
Just to name a few tip stiff shafts.

Thanks for the replies so far. I heard the Ping Anser was a low spinner and can come with a Diamana Ahina shaft which is relatively stiff as one of it's 4 stock shaft options. It would be nice to not have to buy a club and then switch shafts. I'd like to try the R1 one of these days but I think the stock shaft might not be great for my swing. How about any of you guys who bought the new Titleist 913 D2 or D3 combined with the Diamana D+ White shaft? Is this club a lower spinning combinations?

I have the 913D3 with a stiff Diamana D+ in 8.5 degree and it launches and spins good and low for me. I mentioned R1 above because in the sims at GT I get 5-10 more yards out of the R1. I chose Titleist for look, feel and accuracy (I sprayed the R1 all over the place with the stock shaft and was already pretty set on the Titleist so wasn't going to wait to try TP versions at a demo day) but R1 seemed to win in distance and launch conditions (ball speed and spin).

Chief, this is a great article. I read it and compared a lot of the info to my actual trackman results that I received from trackman. Very useful for any golfer to read.
