Sim Curtains, track, and netting
Hi All,
I would like to apologize in advance if I do anything wrong since I am new to posting on forums.
I am building a sim in my basement, most likely will go with GC2 or Pro Tee. I would like to use blackout curtains on both sides of the screen to stop errant shots and to also to open and close when using the sim screen in a home theater setup. Above the screen I want to use netting so that balls don't damage my ceiling.
Anyway, I found the perfect setup, which was built around a HD Golf sim in my local golf shop. The problem is that I cant seem to find the curtains, track and netting used anywhere and I was hoping that somebody could help me track it down. I have attached some photos. One photo shows the the general setup while the others are with the camera facing up at the ceiling displaying the track, curtains and netting. Sorry that the photos are not the best but I hope you can get the idea.
I would appreciate it if someone can help me find these components. Thanks!

Degamar, you can get a track for curtains at Belger Photography which is on ebay. I purchased mine from a local store. You can get blackout curtains cheap from almost any fabric store. The netting you can purchase on ebay as well as long as the holes are small enough so a golf ball won't go through it. It appears they used S hooks to attach the netting on the sides.

Degamar, I'm in the same boat. I'm waiting on my ProTee and slowing piecing parts together. Trying to find the black (heavier) curtains that are 10 feet long and up to 14 feet across so I can cover the entire screen if I choose. Please l et me know if you find a good deal on the curtains. Here's a site I just found on ceiling mounted curtain tracks. They have a heavy duty track that I'm considering...available in 12' but I'd want an extra 4' plus an end extension that turns it into a closet when the screen is in use. I haven't bought anything yet so I can't vouch for this place:

I'll let you know if I find anything else on track and curtains. Good luck!

the cheapest way to do the curtains is buy a bulk roll. You will pull hair out trying to find them high enough.
cut them to the desired height (plus some) and then face the black sides together and sew down 1 side. Sew another length on untilyou have the amount of width you need (plus some) then put eyelets along the top of the sewn curtain. Hang it on rod with top net (or curtain for ceiling done the same but eyelets on both sides) alternating through rod and eyelets.
Hang rod.

You might want to look at West Coast Netting. If you describe your needs and or show some photos I am sure they would be glad to help you out. They are also have some fair prices for their products.

In case you thought , like me, that you would not hit in front of the board, this is the end result. Should have taken Z' s advice and put some strong turf in front of board.

Ouch. Yeah, that $65 fairway panel is well worth the money.

Has anyone tried Ikea curtain track? It is much lighter duty than some of the industrial stuff but the price is sure right.

ikea current tracks work perfect by the way. Plenty strong for a 9 foot curtain taking balls.
