Camera set up to record swing.... (Golftec?)
I want to have at least 1 camera recording my swing when I use my gc2 set-up. Was at a golftec today and was amazed by what they had for this. Basically it is always recording and a microphone picks up the ball strike and it automatically pulls up that swing. The best part was big plastic buttons you control the video with directly on the floor.
Anyone know if something like this is for sale?? OR what are some of you using for this solution other than just letting the camera run and then look later?
Thanks!

V1
My golftec uses motionview.
Or get a swingbyte2 when it ships and you will have video and club (accuracy still in question) data.

Ever build this?
I'm interested in setting up the exact same camera capabilities as golftec as well. I see that motion view will do the live feeds. But golftec also has a mic that automatically stops the recording. I've found some big floor-mounted USB buttons on Amazon that you can assign keystrokes as well. But it would be great if someone could share if they've successfully built something.

This is one of the great features in the Trackman TPS software. It is amazing what it lets you do and the latest version release greatly improved the video features. Likely too much for the average golfer, but for a teacher I can see how a lot of these features could be very helpful.

I use V1 on the golf course and Motion View in my Sim. I have V1 in my sim but Motion View has more and better features for analysis. Both have auto trigger. You want a camera with 120 frames per second, The ability to control shutter speed, The ability to use with minimal lighting, and zoom capability so can film 8 feet back. HD is not necessary but a plus. Going to HD at 120 frames per second get quite pricey. The most important thing is to be able to visualize your your clubs throughout the swing without blurry and or bending.
That Image Source and Point Grey have good cameras

I have just installed my golf sim and realize that it is critical to be able to video the swing. Would you mind sharing the equipment and software you are using? Also what camera are you using and how far are you from it when you swing?
