I will wait until next weekend, I just got my irons back and the new shafts look amazing.
Obviously you're not a golfer.

Winter golf
Any one know is popular grove will open this weekend?. They are usually open early, course seems to dry fast. The city course on Blair road?. Guess I will have to call a few and see. Maybe Innes rd. or Meur Blue driving range, Cages at golf town?.

Mer Bleue was not open again today and I have not seen it open although some have. Innes Rd driving range has been open since last Friday and seems to be open until 6:00PM (at least so far). I belive Popular Grove is now Eagle nest of some such name and would doubt that it would be open until late April at soonest.
I would be VERY suprised if Pineview was open before May given that it is clay based. You will see however, that if you are really itching for a game that Prescot is open this weekend and Nation next weekend.

Just back from Prescott. Took 4.5 hours on opening day with a Slammer Tour event ahead of us. Very reasonable, and surprising, considering that it was opening day!
Course is in great shape...all holes...from tee to green. Greens are absolutely PERFECT and very, very fast! Bunkers are all filled with fresh sand. Fairways are neat and clean of debris...a little sun and rain and they'll be in mid-summer condition in no time."If profanity had any influence on the flight of the ball, the game of golf would be a lot easier than it is" - Horace Hutchinson (1903)

Thanks Imozzie for the info. It seems that Prescott is always in great condition opening day. Looking forward to playing there soon.

Played Prescott yesterday I'm sure with a lot of other forum members. Course is in AWESOME condition, every hole is open from the tips to the greens. No temps or backup holes like Prescott has. Course was dry, clear of all debris that most courses have at this time of year and greens were in great condition. Nothing too fast obviously, but rolling very smooth and a decent pace for the time of year for sure. A few nice days from being in mid-season conditions. Looking forward to some openings a little closer to downtown!!!
Just my 2 cents worth, hope everyones enjoying the spring season!!!

What are they charging?
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

The calendar must be broken.... or at least I wish it was
I don't see many courses trickling into the calendar. Where's Calabogie and Pakenham - those are normally some of the first few open on the West end. I guess it shows you how much the lack of rain and cold weather affects course openings.

Pakenham all depends when the renovations on their clubhouse are done. Believe that's all they will be waiting for after this weekend.

Weather has not warmed up as projected a week ago. Some courses probably wont opened as scheduled. I was told that Emerald Links, Andersen Links and Cloverdale wont open on Monday next week; they think mid to end of next week. They have taken their tee time booking service off line until they have firmed up a date.
Golfing only thing on my mind.......
