Check the OVGA and Otaawa Zone CPGA websites.

2014 schedules are probably not listed yet.

The OVGA schedule has been available for some time now.

What is prompting you for such a reply ?

Just curious because I have some thoughts about them also.

They are very expensive and don't really result in anything. AJGA is great for getting noticed by schools in the states, but schools usually don't care about CJGA events. OVGA events are far cheaper and in my opinion run better then CJGA.

Yeah the post above is right on the money. I would also add that they have very weak fields compared to GAO or Golf Quebec events.

Are you reffering to the local CJGA events only or province wide ?

They could be but they sure don't share many traits other than three letters in the acronym. I just picked a random event from the archives: http://online.cjga.com/Public/Public...urnamentId=729. Winner is +21 after 2 days where the winner of the provincial junior that year was -17 after 4 rounds.

Note that was in the 14 and Under, so as long as you are comparing that in the provincial junior then that is fine. The biggest problem with CJGA is unless you go to the big events in Toronto, the fields are weak and they generally make the kids play long tough layouts that do not yield low scores.

The AJGA has only recently partnered with the CJGA and come to Canada for one event a year. If you are looking for scholarships, play local OVGA events until ready and then go to the AJGA frequently. A couple good results in AJGA tournaments is a real easy way to get a scholarship.
