Turning Ferrules with a Rotary Tool?

Anyone ever tried turning ferrules with a rotary tool?
    Obviously you're not a golfer.

No, sorry. I do mine by hand. Very fine grit sandpaper, then acetone with a clean, fine cotton cloth.

If you want to do it by a rotary tool, I would suggest securely fixing the rotary tool, and using a very fine sanding disk, then a polishing disk. During the polishing, it would help to gently apply acetone.

    Cheers!
