ES12 Golf Monitor - Anybody liking it?
After Par2Pro's videos of the ES12 at the PGA Show it really got my attention.
I know it only calculates carry/total distance from ball speed.
I really like how you just set it in front of you and it records your distances. But best of all I really like how it reads your distances aloud through a speaker/bluetooth ear piece!
Take a shot and then hear your distance!
And it only costs around $200. Would be nice at the range or yard!
What does everyone else think? Did it grab any else's attention?

I love hitting at the range. Fortunate enough to have a range that is well marked. Besides being a cool gadget, someone please tell me how this will really help my game?

In my area our ranges aren't that great! We have weird hills that blind most long golf shots. Even the better ones aren't marked great, it's more like an educated guess at your distance lol
That's why it's interesting to me, especially for the driver. It would be cool to bring it to the golf course and put it by the tee box too.
Opinions would be great, even if you used it already!Last edited by golfun; 01-26-2013 at 01:32 AM.

For distance only could also just use one of the free phone apps and track your distances when playing. After a round or two you'll know your averages.

I'm really just learning how to play golf still so my distances constantly keep changing somewhat. And I, like most, will always want to go further. I really see the main benefit for me with the driver. Outside practicing in the yard with it seems cool, at least you could maybe develop some consistency from trying to hit the same yardage over and over.
I guess that's the question- Is your club distances already known and not changing and your not trying to change them or going further at the moment? Then you could decide.
Good feedback!

Hey All,
We finally got a chance to get this system tested and it works great for the ball speed (GC2 benchmark) - here is the video we took:

Here is the link to order it:

I got to say that looks like an awesome tool to take to the range or use with a net!
Love the bluetooth earpiece connection too.
