Just some random components. Was thinking about getting a used PX2 and adding to it.

You can't buy the cameras direct from Ptgrey. You have to buy them from GGS otherwise they won't be recognized by the software.

GSA components. Thanks for the compatibility tip! Serial number lock, or special camera software flash?

Pm and pick ZMax brains before taking the plunge. Zmax and mmlincon are our resident experts on GSA.

Yeah, I did a decent amount of reading on the forum. I know what I'm getting into if I chose to go the GSA route. I picked up a few used machine cameras and am building my own club/ball capture setup for fun.

Well have fun! Post some pics if you can. Do check on the compatability with GSA before spending too much if that is the intention.

I have an Optishot. I don't always trust it. Sometimes says my clubface is extremely closed... so I made a setup to take snapshots of my club at impact so I can see if it is lying and to check its accuracy. I'm now expanding it, and thought buying 'GSA compatible' components might not be a bad idea, thats all.

You planning on writing your own software and using the PX2 to trigger the cameras?

Yes, I have read the threads.
No, I have my own trigger not the PX2 mat. I haven't played with the PX2, don't know if I could pull a usable trigger off of it.
The software so far is just what I have wrote.

Well good luck wise. Where are you getting the used PX2? You have a GSA opical sensor array?

There's a good signal on the PX2 that can be used to trigger the cameras for club face. You sound like you know electronics so you should be able to find it easily.
