    Extending my ceiling clearance

    Hi guys, if anyone has modified their ceiling to get more clearance can you please share your experiences with us or post a few pics ? I'm thinking you could get another foot of room if you swing between a joist but I don't think it would be enough lateral room so maybe you have to cut one and reinforce around. Any input would be appreciated.

    This is going to depend on your house more than anything. Unless you're lucky it's not going to be a simple job.
