    TPC Sawgrass

Ok, so I am meeting my Dad in Daytona this February and and he offered to spring for a round at Sawgrass.

Now,I thought it was possible to play without staying at the hotel these days but he is having trouble finding anything.

I am not going to say price is no concern, but he is willing to pay the going rate for a round, as long as we dont have to stay in the hotel (timing, extra costs, etc...)

Let me know what you guys have seen, websites, deals, web links, etc... it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks...

When I was there last year one group of guys I played with used Golf Now to book their tee times.
Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

Same here. I used *** when I played there. Don't forget, caddy is mandatory and extra.

I played there last February and was able to book a time through the course without staying at the hotel with ease. I believe I just called the pro shop direct.

Forecaddies are mandatory, but individual caddies are not a requirement. I was the only one in the group of 4 to use an individual caddy.

Personally I would recommend hiring your own caddy as I was able to enjoy the walk around the course, he took care of the yardages, divots, cleaning of clubs and green reading help, especially with the grain involved. We even talked club yardages/strategies before the round started so he could better suggest shot types.

Just being able to take that famous walk from 16 green to 17 tee instead of carting behind the grandstands made the caddy worth it, especially knowing it might be the only time playing.
