2013 Golf Club Wish List

A little too early for a WITB for 2013, but I wanted to see what's on everyone's wish list in the way of clubs for next season. I was looking for a new BIG DOG (which I have already picked up) and some new wedges. Going to be looking to pick up the vokey SM4s in tour chrome with project X 6.0's in them.

Also I would find it very hard to take my KZG Evolution irons out of the bag.

Have had every putter known to mankind...don't know why...just like putters, I guess! But I have yet to pick up a Scotty. Don't know why...too much hype...too much money????

I can attest that they aren't too much hype. The following might be a little "cultish" but the product speaks for itself. Go ahead...come to the dark side.

Not a club but I would like to score a ClicGear 3.0....maybe another hybrid. I won't say no to adding to my Bettinardi collection if the right deal comes along.

My bag is basically complete, the only thing which will need an upgrade eventually will be my wedges, at which point I will probably pick up Vokey SM4 Black Nickel Wedges.

And a new golf carry bag, I'll probably go with Ogio because those bags are by far the most convenient bags I've used. Every pocket you could possibly want they have it, and of course they have just a dash of flash.

Possibly new fairway woods, but only if I get bored over the winter.

Just switched out my 4/5/6/7 irons for 712 AP2's, reshafted my 910H with a Tour AD DI hybrid shaft, grabbed a 910FD 13.5 degree shafted with a Tour AD DI 8x, sent my scratch wedges to the iron factory to be rawed and regrooved and am grabbing a driver shortly too. I've been busy.

There are a couple of things that have caught my interest for 2013:

1) New Putter - By necessity at least by 2016, I currently anchor my long putter. I have tried not anchoring it in my basement, but it feels weird. I may pick up a belly putter, have the loft changed, and try the 'Kuch' method in 2013. Rule in affect or not next year, there will be a real stigma attached to anchoring next year, I feel. I haven't completely decided when I will change, but I'm feeling the pressure to do so ...

2) Nike Covert woods - I love the uni-loft club idea, with separate change ability of loft and face angle. I need to do more research on this technology from the fairway metal and hybrid perspective, because I can't understand how you can adjust the loft of these clubs and not create a 'digger' sole.

Yup ... I will get this a lot (LOL) ... actually, I have felt this was coming for a long time and am actually excited about trying to learn a different way to putt.

Already have the Titleist 913 Driver in the bag, will be getting 3wood and 5wood in February when they come out.
Rest of the bag is set with the old 710 AP2s and Vokeys (could swap out the old SM2s for SM4s so I stop tearing the skin off of my golf balls if I win a bunch at men's night). I have found the black nickel finish to not be so durable so if this does happen I'll probably go chrome or Oil Can.
I still find the old Odyssey putter better than anything Scotty offers so it continues to stay in the bag.

Only things I wold consider adding would be an 18* Mizuno driving iron and possibly a symmetrical mallet putter with no insert. I'll probably experiment with some putter grips to find something that fits in my hands a little better.

Even though I just unloaded the irons out of my all cleveland bag i am really hoping to get a classic 3 wood when they come out.

My other dream would be for Phil Mickelson to buy Bridgestone, and force them to start making lefty clubs again.... but i'll stick my Classic drivers either way.

YES!! Those irons are SICK!! Best looking iron they have come out with in a long time IMO. If I some dough in the budget those would certainly find a home in my bag.

Looks like Santa is ponyin' up for the new irons I wanted, so my wish list is cut down to a new set of Vokeys (50, 54, 58), and a new putter. I may also take the Scotty plunge this year, but the Ping Anser 4 is aweful tempting.
