Was going through some old messages when I came across this one. Did you really join for 1795?
I was a players card member too and I thought we only got a 10% discount off the $3200 starting initiation. At least that is what I remember.
Worked out to around $2900... no?
Maybe I am mistaken, I will need to check this out.

Moving with Clublink
Perhaps I can get an answer here since I cannot get a reply from the Sales Team at Clublink.
If was to become a member at an Ottawa CL course, and travel to Toronto I understand how that works, however what if I had to move to Toronto?
Can you change your home course? What are the fees involved?
Thnks

I guess what I should have said more properly is the call center staff will not/cannot answer they pass you to the local sales person. I have left 2 messages for the local people in the past 6 months and have not heard from them.

Clublink
You can move anytime from one club to another. However you have to pay the difference between the joining fee for the new club if it's higher than the one you belong to. The cost (not absolutely sure) would be 75-80% of the difference to upgrade. I dont think you get money back if you go to a lower entry fee course.

Yeah I find it hard to believe they haven't called you back because ever since I've been a member I have found their customer service to be nothing short of outstanding.
I dealt with Jonathan Bodden in Kanata for my membership and he was great. I suggest you give him a call to get your questions answered.
On another note, just booked my first tee time for Predator today! Man I can't wait to get out. Any Greyhawk members happen to know if the range will be open before the course?

Close... I went through this when I switched from Hautes Plaines to Greyhawk.
you pay the difference of the two entrance fees + a transfer fee (10% the entrance fee at the new course). So the fee is over 100% of the difference. You are right about not getting credit for goig to a lower course.
Keep in mind that the difference is based on the current value of the entrance fee and not the value when you joined. I was lucky that the entrance fee at HP went up and closed the gap between it and GH by the time I joined (GH was still $6500).
As for moving to Toronto area. Clublink has a policy that a certain percentage of your rounds (60%??) have to be played at your home course. THis is to avoid people joining a course with a cheaper entrance fee and playing all their rounds at a higher-end course.

I haven't seen anything on the percentage of rounds that have to be played at your home course. There were rumours of Toronto area people buying at Greyhawk and Le Maitre and playing in Toronto.
I also called about the range, they are hoping to have it open for the 21st, Predator's opening day, however it may be the next week when Talon opens up.It could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as a warning to others.
