cutting down a driver shaft for a 3 wood
I have a shaft with an R9 tip that plays to about 45" in a driver. it's 68G and has the R9 tip on it. Would there be any issue simply cutting that down for use in a 3 wood? Say perhaps to 43.5"?
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

You would have to tip it a bit I would think and then just shorten it on the butt end, you'd essentially just have a lighter shaft in a fairway wood which is a feel i like but for whatever reason most people seem to think that you need heavier shafts in your FW.
