I had a decent round on Thursday. Driver was great.

Pretty bad round for ball striking. One of the only times my putting saved me from having a horrible round.

Then later that same day I hit balls on the range and played 9 holes in the afternoon...

I think what gives is your comfort level at Hunt Club and it's a much easier course than LochMarch from the tips.

Actually putted pretty well but the stats don't really show it. Need to hit 4-5 more GIR. 3-4 bad holes, the rest was pretty decent.

love the 4 snap hooks. Managed to avoid those last round but Jordan could give you a lesson with his new driver if needed. Never seen a golf ball turn left like that before. Of course he also bombed a bunch out there 325 as well to make up for those.

What gives?

Hunt Club is a lot more forgiving off the tee than Loch March. A LOT. You must have had some penalty strokes to get to 91 unless you are counting up and downs for scores greater than par.

5 tee shots went wayyy offline and lost them in the leaves. Im going to chalk it up to trying to hit too hard bc those were some of the worst tee shots Ive hit in months.

Given the conditions, I was pleased. I scrambled my ass off around the greens.

Also of note, I made two bogies with a cracked ball. Hit what I thought was a solid tee shot on 12 that had a short duck hook flight. Thought it was just me. Finished the hole with a bogey.

Used the same ball again on 13 and again, hit what I though was a solid shot that maybe went 200 yards. Again, thought it was maybe a toe hit/the weather. Finished out the hole with bogey.

Teeing the same ball up on #14 and I notice a 1 inch crack in the ball and it's actually out of round. First time that has ever happened to me with a non-wound golf ball. Yes, I'm old enough to have played wound golf balls.

Now, I'm not saying I would have birdied both those holes, but still.

It probably broke because it was cold and damp. Like everyone else these days, I never check for that kind of thing.

I prefer to tell my friends that I know someone who smashed the cover right off the ball though J!
