Older AccuSport Vector
Does anybody have experience with the older AccuSport Vector (SVS150)
Was the accuracy decent ?
Does it worth buying a used one ?
Thanks

I have used the old vector. remember it uses FireWire connection and has 1 lens vs the newer vector with 2 lenses. The biggest concern is the lack of support with the older vector. Accusport do not support the lens and hardware if the unit tanks on you.

Thanks for your answer bubba
Apart from the lack of support,
did you find the unit relatively accurate and dependable.

I didn't own one, just used it here and there. It seemed accurate. You can buy them on ebay for less than $500 but really meant more for getting ball and launch data. Some folks on the various forums prefer the older vector to the newer one. What are you using it for?

I would like to use it for practicing inside, this winter.
Mainly interested in ball spin.
Will try to use my swingbyte to get club data (Hopefully they will improve there software)
At around $600 for the vector, it makes for a relatively cheap practice set-up, if it works good.
Thanks.

For the SVS150 is there Golf Course simulation software for it so you can play on courses, not just the range? Any similar AccuSport models possible with it?

No course simulation. I believe the Vector Pro can be combined with the P3pro and the Trugolf sim http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BS-Cb...8&feature=plcp http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CP4Te...0&feature=plcp , http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gz7O2...2&feature=plcp to combine the club and ball data. From what I have seen of those it seems slow and not sure the true integration and accuracy!!!!

WERX - I had and actually still have a original Vector, it worked well for the simulated range and showed what I believed were accurate results and data. I would say overall its a good outdated system and in my experience even though the unit was no longer supported Accusport customer service was extremely helpful and quick to answer questions. The unit I have no longer works it just continually "fires" like it is taking pictures and a couple of the strobes have burned out, I accidentally left it on for a couple days after I used it and I think that is what killed it, Accusport did look at it and try to fix it but they did not have parts to do so. Overall I was happy with it and I did purchase a Vector Pro with VSeries which I liked but recently sold to purchase a GC2 or FlightScope with course simulation.
