Played Metcalfe this afternoon. Course is in great shape - tee to green as usual. However, THE LEAVES WILL DRIVE YOU C-R-A-Z-Y!!!!!

Hammond was in great shape today - leaves were not much of a problem.

Plated Gatineau today. The course was in very good shape. As expected there were lots of leaves around but we found our balls without issue. They were rolling the greens today, and they were crazy fast.

Dan we teed-off around 9:00,were you ahead of us or behind. Greens are stupidly fast as I 3 putted a lot of them. Just cant get the speed down.

We started at 10:30. I wonder if they just want them that fast or if it has something to do with prepping them for winter. It was like putting on a hardwood floor.

Yeah, I went from playing Gatineau one day to Calabogie the next. Poor Calabogie, their greens are just awful right now. They were punched, and VERY thick.
My name is Paul. And I'm a golfaholic.

Played Renfrew yesterday, they had aerified the back 9, and were planning to do the front 9 but stopped because of the rain. The front 9 greens were smooth and very quick. The 4some I was in all wanted to play the back, I wanted to play the front again, but I only had one vote. The punched and sanded greens were actually pretty good, the super did an excellent job.
Note for fall golf: the srixon tour yellow balls are a bad choice when parts of the course have lots of yellow leaves on themAndrew

Oct 13 2012- Just played Loch March. Greens are in terrific shape. A bit moist but all in all excellent. Leaves are starting to be a bother though.

Emerald is not to bad, West Course much less leaves than East/South which were brutal. $39.99 + tax and a free Sausage.

Had the wonderful opportunity to play Camelot yesterday. The layout and setup of that course may be one of my most favourite in the Ottawa area. Excellent shape from tee to green. What a treat to play, once again, on a course where no setup of a ball on any shot was required in what, with Fall conditions upon us, could be considered to be less than ideal conditions. And they're doing a ton of work on the course putting in MORE sandtraps on just about every hole and reloading ALL traps with the extremely fine white sand.
It is truly a beautiful private club played on a beatiful Fall day with good friends! If you get the opportunity to experience this track, don't let it slip by you....you won't be disappointed!"If profanity had any influence on the flight of the ball, the game of golf would be a lot easier than it is" - Horace Hutchinson (1903)

Played Marshes this a.m. and greens were a bit long and bumpy ( aerated) It was a cartpath only day and that was really a pain. I feel I walked more to and from my cart than when I usually walk. Played Canadian in the P.M and greens were excellent. Real good speed, not bumpy, not aerated and priced at 31.00 with taxes i think was great value.

Metcalfe was in great shape even with punched greens. Rolling very nicely and beautifull day with fantastic colors.
Great price 30.00 taxes in.

Chateau Cartier greens have been punched. Very bumpy.

Eagle Creek was mint today. Some greens has quite a bit of top dressing but they still rolled and held well on approach shots.

Cloverdale Links - More I play this course the more I like it. Greens punched and had a temp green on #6 but soon as it was punched and rolled it was back in action. Appreciate that BUT why do it at all during play... AND what's worse no warning from Club House staff... Don't ask, Don't tell policy makes me crazy. Course in very good shape, narry a weed or a bald spot and at $21 and change it's a re-do... AND NO LEAVES!!!

Greensmere was good, played Legacy with a few holes having leaves. Greens have been punched and most heavily sanded but for $33 not bad at all.

Fairways almost recovered from punching and Greens very good at SB but was almost 5 hour round yesterday. Still great value for $33.

$33 is really good but the five hours is crazy for a shorter course like that. What were the split times?
