played Stonebridge last week. Immaculate is the best word to describe it.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

I played Metcalfe on Sunday and Monday. The greens are fast and the fairways are in nice shape. Some of the tees boxes on the par 3's are wearing thin. There are a few bare spots on the first green, which has always been a problem at Metcalfe. Other than that, the rest of the course is in excellent condition. Overall I think "pretty good shape" is a good way to describe it.

Played Pakenham on Monday. In general, good shape. However, I was somewhat surprised but I would say is fungus death on most of the fairways???? It seems strange to have such at this time of year...doesn't look like drought caused it. It looks more like the winter kill that you'd see on a course after a really, really tough winter. Playable ... but strange to see, as I say, at this time of year on virtually every fairway???

Played Chateau Cartier last week. The overall conditions are very good and the greens are superb.

I thought eQuinelle was just ok , some of the greens were patchy with alot of sand on them and they tended to be a bit bumpy.
It also looks like they have a grub issue on some of the course , with some parts on fairways and rough being dug up by the skunks.
The other 90% of the course was in great shape however. At the end of the day ... It gets dark

Nation is immaculate all around with the exception of some fairway punching which is hardly noticeable. They won't be punching greens for at least a week. Highly recommended.

Played Chateau Cartier today and, I must admit, I was pleasantly surpised with the conditions.
I must say though that the double nets down the first hole are really a little bit 'hokey'. It makes you feel like you're in a driving range except the fact you just paid $50 for the honour to do so. And be advised that they have now turned the 18th into a par 3 at 120 yds. Not sure if its more condos that are going in on the right side of the hole, but they now have realigned their electrical overhead wires with temporary poles out in the centre of what used to be the old landing area on 18. I think it is a temporary situation while the construction is going on. Let's just hope it doesn't creep into next season! If you go, bring bug spray. The gnats were out something fierce today.
But, what the heck, it was still a great day for golf!!!"If profanity had any influence on the flight of the ball, the game of golf would be a lot easier than it is" - Horace Hutchinson (1903)

The tee boxes are bare but other than that, it is in good condition for this time of the year.
The fact that they didn't tell us about 18th being closed was not very pleasant.
Walking up that hill on the 17th and only to find out from the sign that 18th was closed. You basically skip the 1st and last hole.

I must admit that I did find it interesting that they said nothing in the Pro Shop when we signed in. Only after they had our money and we arrived at the 1st tee were we informed by the Starter that the 18th was playing as a par 3...and that seemed to be as an '..oh, by the way...'

Played Mississippi on Friday afternoon, perfect day. Course is in great shape, so are the greens. My only complaint is about the rough...... it's actually thick and rough. I mean, who does that!? All kidding aside, the course was really good, the beer cart girl was even better (she offered to come around once more after her last call.... maybe we were tipping TOO well????)
My golf game was not as nice as the course..... two birdies on the back 9..... counteracted with two snowmen. Ya, one of those days......

Played Outaouis, South & West Saturday. Greens were running fast as they were quite bare, but rest of the course was in fantastic shape. A little soggy in places but nice.
Lots of yoga pants these days, not enough Yoga!

Played Stonebridge today. They were aerating their fairways while we were playing. At least on the back nine. They were one hole behind us the entire time. Greens are still very quick, and the course is still in fantastic shape. Falls rates are on, as well.
My name is Paul. And I'm a golfaholic.

Highly recommend.

Cedarhill
Tees and fairways in excellent condition. Greens punched and somewhat shaggy. Leaves were a problem on this very, very windy day. But heck...its Fall golf!
