My partner from last year is not available for this year's tournament.
If anyone is interested in teaming up with me this year, please send a PM.
Tournament details at the following link. It is a 36 hole, 2 man tournament that is a full day of golf. The date is Oct 5th.

The weather for tomorrow is looking great! Well, there's a small chance of rain in the morning but a high of 22* and sunny... what more could you ask for on October 5th?

Gotta love that alternate shot haha. Looking for someone to carry you through? That's usually my strategy

At least it's modified alternate shot (ie. 2 tee shots to choose from)... and it's on the relatively easy/wide open front nine of the Premiere course. If it was Legacy there might still be people trying to finish up from last year's event!

One of the guys I know did put it only an inch or two from going in. They were the 2nd last group on that hole.

Your partner is quite a handsome fellow... and clearly a highly-skilled golfer to have hit a shot so close. Certainly, it couldn't have been a fluke result!
For the record, the winning scores in each of the formats were:
Alternate Shot: -2
Chapman: -3
Best Ball: -6
Scramble: -7Twitter: @mfarquharson73

Steve I added a few more photos for you. Problem is that I don't know who everyone is on the forum that was playing. Too bad on the $25K but still a great shot in there. Three of us playing today put it down bottom but not as close as your's was.

This was my first year playing in the Survivor Challenge and I really enjoyed it. My partner and I had a rough day, but i did shoot a personal best on the back 9 of Premier (Best Ball) where all 9 holes scored were mine, and I finished with a 3 putt bogie on 18 for an even 36. I'm an 11.5 HCP, and I've shot 37 a few times, but that was my first even 9 hole round. (if only it counted)
We had a rough go at Chapman, out of 9 holes I only had 2x 2nd shots of my partners tee shot to hit, one from inside a water hazard, and one from near the ladies tee. My partner was having a rough time getting off the tee box - and that puts you at a real disadvantage when you don't have a second ball in play.
Ended up finishing Legacy with a 94 (ouch!) but walked off Premiere with a 75 including 4 straight bogeys starting the day on Premiere 5.
It was pretty amazing to hear some of the scores that were out there on Friday - very impressed with a few of the scores the ladies turned in.

You indicated above that "all 9 holes scored were mine," for a score of 36, therefore the score would be eligible for handicapping purposes. Not sure if the RCGA handicap network will accept that 9 hole score as a "tournament score," if that is what you are using, but the score definitely counts.

It was my 1st experience at the Survivor Challenge, and it was great fun. Didn't play necessarily well, but I hit the flag post on the $25K hole, and it scooted off to the fringe. It was neat to hit the post, but a bummer that it roled off the green, so couldn't put my name down on the <closest-to-the-pin>. At the time we went by that hole there were no women on the green yet. My friend and I will try it again next year. Hopefully our scoring will be better... 41, 44, 41, 45 - for a 14 and 18 handicapper... I thought we did ok. Obviously, no where near what the winning ladies team shot (total score 143, 2nd team total 153).

This is not a net event...I believe some people think that?
