    Hitting Mats

I've been waffling between hitting mats (need a 3'x5' to fit the space the way I want) and want either a mat system that can do both fairway and rough turf feel (or 2 separate mats, if it comes to that).

The three I've been considering the most are the Fiberbuilt, Country Club Elite and TrueStrike. It doesn't appear that TrueStrike or CC Elite have a rough turf panel, nor a 3'x5' model available for TrueStrike.

Fiberbuilt seems to be the only company that offers both hitting surfaces. If I go with 2 separate 3'x5' mats that I can swap between for practice, I've been considering the Plush Turf from Custom Design Golf.

Obviously, if I go with 2 mats I wouldn't swap them out for game play, just for practice sessions, primarily with my wedges.

What are the plusses / minuses between these mats, in your opinion?

Add divot action to the mix.

You can also try speaking with your local artificial turf company to see if they offer a 'tee-line' turf. It is like the country club elite just without the foam base and you can even stand on them. I use them for my hitting mat:
