    Trillium Wood

Well, the wife and I have to attend a wedding in Grimsby on Saturday and, on the way down, will be stopping at Trillium Wood in Belleville for a round. Have never played the course. Would appreciate and info from those who have...

great course, lots of fun and in good shape (at least it was in June)
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

I've read each of the online hole descriptions. Looks like it's my type of course with few, if any, 'grip it and rip it' holes and a whole lot of thinking going on at the tee and on the approach. Love to hear its got good reviews....might get a little wet, but at this time of year, big deal...lol! tx

I played it 2 weeks ago and it was in great shape imozzie. Excellent layout, especially front 9, but not difficult to score if you keep it in play. Greens moderately fast but not lightning quick. And no, not overpowering long. You can play blues, whites, or blue/white combo which is what i did. 4 tee boxes but 7 rating/ slope combinations.

A little off topic, does anyone know how it compares to Black Bear which is right next door?

I think Black Bear Ridge is one of my all-time favorite courses. I love Trillium Wood, but BBR is incredible. Every hole looked like a picture from the tee.

The one thing to keep in mind at both courses is that you have a tonne of room off the tee. It might not look like it, but you have to kill it and hit a huge banana ball to be in any trouble.

You will enjoy playing at either course.
