No reviews yet
Hey Guys,
I'm looking to get either the trainer or the p3pro.
I haven't found any reviews online of the trainer, but it does seem like a better system from what i can interpret.
Thing is i have a net and mat already, so it literally is going to cost me $2500 more in Australia.
I'm thinking maybe just go with the p3 for now and see how i go, and if i enjoy practicing with the net. Just want to save some money, as i'm spending about $50-$70 a week on range balls.
But i do want so realistic feedback to help me improve my swing.
So if anyone has either and can guide me in the right direction that would be awesome.
Cheers
Jason

Hey Jason,
I have really fallen back on this one as I have the Trainer, but have not tested it out in detail due to the recovery of my broken ankle (and taking care of my customers).
In principal, the Trainer is a great option if you:
1. Don't want to tape your clubs
2. Want E6 software (E6 Lite comes with it, but is upgradeable to full for $1000 more)
3. Want to have more lighting flexibility in your room
4. Do not want to integrate it with a launch angle camera / Vector (they say that they may come out with this option in the future, but it is currently not availble)
5. Are ok with hitting off of a turf top (P3Pro offers a commercial grade grass top option for $400 that is more durable and realistic)
6. Do not need integrated video capture (P3Pro offers this with the Primary Software)
7. Do not need to play online (P3Pro has the World Dunes online play feature)
Other than that, the testing I have done so far has shown that the accuracy is just as limited as the P3ProSwing base model as it is only mesuring club data. However, both models are a significant improvement over the Optishot
You can get the trainer model without the mat and net for $300 less (special order via cory@par2pro.com)
Hopefully that helps, but if you have any other questions, feel free to contact me directly at 1-877-417-2161, via email (above), PM, or make further posts
Happy Golfing,
Cory

I was able to dedicate abot half a day to it, but couldn't get it dialed in - I will need to dedicate a day with the tech support to see what is up. Not sure if there is a problem with the user or the unit LOL
Right now I am setting up a new Sports Coach demo center in Toronto - so I won't be back until the first week in October.
PS: I also need to finish testing the Holiday Golf Personal Pro in which I setup but could not get the courses working (driving range testing was pretty good though)
Cheers,
Cory
