Take the tube/tire into any good bike repair shop. They probably have them in stock -- GT probably has to order it.

Thanks for the responses. Turns out it was the pump which was not working (air would enter to a point and then escape through the valve attachment to the pump.. Bought a new bike pump and voila no problems. Also if anyone else has an inner tube problem you can buy the same tube at MEC for $3.50. Thanks again.
