    Which model?
When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

I assumed they were all the same. The Pro Combos are the ones I need. Cheers.

    http://www.golfsmith.com/cm/pdf/oem_replacement.pdf

Most OEM go with taper tip irons. The main reason: production. Not because they are any better.
No tip trimming whatsoever. The shafts come in pre trimmed.

Thank you Andre. This table is interesting to look at. I was surpised that the recommended SS for the TT DGS300 is only 80-90 mph. I always thought it was higher, around 90-100.

Based on 5 iron swing speed.

Or you may determine swing speed by correlating it to your shot carry distance with a driver or a 5-iron (see chart below). This is a slightly less reliable method of obtaining swing speed, but will work for most golfers. Once you've determined your swing speed (driver speed for wood shafts; 5-iron speed for iron shafts), apply them to the shaft specs chart and make the sure the shaft (and flex) you select has a RSSR that matches your swing speed.
