14-year-old added to U.S. Open field
History will be made at the U.S. Open this week when 14-year-old Andy Zhang tees it up at the Olympic Club, becoming the youngest competitor in the golf tournament since at least the Second World War.

I think this is great!! this kids come guns blazing they have nothing to lose but so much to gain from an experience like this. Just look at Soccer (football) you have kids getting drafted at 11-14 to play in the minor leagues from big teams and when they are 15-16 they play pro. Same happens in tennis you have people like Rafael Nadal playing at 15-16 majors or Sharapova winning wimbledon at the age of 17. or in hockey Dominik Hasek first pro game at age of 16...
