I think that Danielle has a more manufactured, but repeatable swing; where Pam has a more natural look/feel. I'd rather play a round with Pam. Either one will get slaughtered on the tour.
After reading so many negative posts about Danielle, I was kinda rooting for her to win (I pull for underdogs) until I started watching last night. Man! Her ego really starts to grate on the nerves.
Either way, congratulations go to Danielle for playing a good round of golf. I'd love to have that Crossfire myself. All of my fairway woods have limbs!

I thought it was weird that the runner up got squat! At least some free clubs or something. It doesn't matter who really won anyway since niether one of them will do well on the LPGA. The only shot in the dark is Pam if she gets picked up by a good swing coach and golf instructor.

Man, Daniel (le) is quite annoying, but she played beat Pam fair and square. I loved it when Pam called Danielle for not marking the ball, she tried to get in her head What I did not love was when Pam moved during Danielle's back swing, that stuff pisses me off too (Pam said there was no way Danielle saw her move, but Danielle said something right away). I'm a little bit curious on how Danielle will do on the LPGA, she'll probably miss the cuts, but I wonder if she'll finish last. Bring on BB4.

Hank Haney was right, they don’t need a Break they need game. None of those players has the game to play on tour without serious training.
Strive for perfection, but never expect it!

and I don't think Danielle has the ability to benefit from the training. Frank Nobilo and Dottie Pepper agreed that any golf coach would love to work with Pam because there is so much there to work with. She's young enough and seems receptive enough that we really could see her on tour in a year or two.
I wonder how often we'll see her on the Golf Channel now that BBIII is over?

I think the best thing about The Big Break series is the drama and excitement the producers have brought to the game of golf. I'll bet a lot more people will be playing match play recreationally after watching these shows.

hi, has anyone from big break 1 or 2 done well? I didn't watch them... does anyone have them on tape or anything? I really want to watch them. I was hooked to watching bb3 and it was ladies, i think I would be going nuts watching the mens one. Anyone?

I can't believe Barbie Doll won!
Pam certainly has way more upside (I can't believe she has only been playing for 3 years).
Barbie is the Queen of trying to talk herself into beliving something about herself that is untrue. For example, she think she is the most beautiful person on the planet (her attidude and lack of humility takes away from her looks), she thinks driving is the best part of her game (given the amount of fairways she missed, that doesn't say a lot about the other aspects of her game) and she believes she is mentally tough (she is whiny, easily disturbed on the course and constantly shows her emotions when she is frustrated - hardly the definition of mentally tough!).
I also thought it lacked class having Pam standing beside Barbie Doll when she was presented with all her prizes - slap in the face.
I expect Barbie to get creamed on the LPGA tour - if she doesn't I have serrious concerns for the women's game.

I agree...I don't think they'd do well on tour...but what a great life dream to be fulfilled, whether you do well or not. Plus the car and $5000 in golf equipment...great prizes.
Pam's putting sucked, very poor for someone who dreams of playing pro. Natural talent for sure, get her a good coach, and a daily practice routine.
Moving during someone's swing is a very pathetic thing to do...why was she moving, did she ever say? It looked planned to me.

Hello everyone, I am Zori, from Puerto Rico, I am an ignorant in Golf I have taken lessons because my husband that is a northamerican has an obsession with this sport AND has introduced me to this. So I loved to watch the big break for women I wonder if the one of men are so personal and exciting. Well, my favorites because of personality, was Cindy and Liz, but they were gone. As for Danielle, I was wondering why I bet on her because her personality didn{t match my way,but for some reason I wanted her to win. Let me clarify, I admired pAM'S gutt for participating having little experience, that is trust in herself very good and also I admired Danielle for giving herself an up I THINK if a person don't give herself a good pep talk who will??? I am surprised that some of you are uncomfortable with her looks when your society has create that image for women to sell cosmetics and cloth, in fact there is another break program of golf that even have a consultant for a dressing code etc..., I think that between Danielle and Pam's personality I prefer Danielle, in the fact that Pam's pretend to be humble or easy going she is as * as Danielle,. First she has a bad feature that is resentment and sarcasm and comments that are very personal. I remember when she *ed about one of the first girls that was eliminated that got frustrated and cried a lot, Pam said good words to her and the other one was not in the mood to listen to it, but in the interview Pam made a comment against her, which I think it was out of place, also before the stupidity of Danielle's comment about Pam, that was very out of place I remember when Pam made the hole from far away Danielle went to embrace her and she didn't even pay attention to her and kept talking to the rest and gave her just a little embrace. At least, Danielle accepted that Pam was amazing and that she diminished her skills, if you are a * you would never accept that, I think that Danielle, is airhead and don't have a filter of what she says, but she is more authentic than PAM,because what was the reaction of Pam when Danielle won? her face was worse than a mad dog. I even thought that the game was not over because at least a shake of hands and what a contradiction when she was *ing that Danielle wanted so badly to win, well if she was so cooled about participating why she didn't shake her hands. So, in a nutshell and excuse me for being so talkative, what are we judging here the skills or the personality and look? WHy women always have to be punished for what they look and act and say? Why are you so mad for a Barbie look, if that is the symbol that your country has imposed on women, since they are little otherwise it would have not sell as much as it has. Also, why punish Danielle for being herself even if we don't like her attitudes, OR don't you remember FLO JO with her fashionable style and such a good sprinter. Why don't you condemm the funny guy basketball player that dyes his hair. Men can have a trademark of their body and look but a woman have to be condemned. I read a very disrespectful comment about Danielle looking like a porno star, pleaseeee pleaseee, it is about time that women are not judged for their looks and I loved that she won because the others even the commentators rejected her because of her apparent frivolity but she showed that no matter how you look the discipline and the perseverance is what it counts. LIKE IT OR NOT SHE WILL ENJOY HER AWARD. As for Pam she will be a wonderful player couple of years more, and that was a lesson for both of them. For Danielle, not to diminish nobody, and for PAM that sarcasm and resentment leads to failure. So for both of them I desire a great future Danielle for her discipline and desire, and for Pam for her being secure of herself and dare to do it and did it. Because for me she won also, because of her few years of playing she did a great job. And for sure will have a great future in the sport.

Even though Danielle has some obvious flaws in terms of her golf game (skills and mental approach) I was really put off by Pam's behaviour. Calling Danielle on the marking of the ball was one thing. Moving in her backswing was quite another. And what was with the delayed "good" while Danielle waited over an obvious gimme, that was just stupid and childish. If Pam had focussed on her own game rather than the gamesmanship (gameswomanship?), she probably would have won the match. I think Pam defeated herself by trying to make Danielle look foolish.

I disagree. Pam lost because her driver and her putter were not good enough. There were lots of holes where an accurate, long drive would have given her a significant advantage. Instead she had to make a miraculous recovery shot (or three) to stay in. Fortunately for her, Danielle's putting is NOT her strength.
The secret to match play is getting inside your oponents head.
I have heard a college golf coach give the advice to wait until the person is over the putt and then concede it. They get the nerve jingle from facing the 3 footer, but they don't get the rush of making it. Another one is to concede anything 3 feet and under for the first nine, then concede nothing. It's a competition, not a friendly match ... as long as you stay within the rules. An experienced match player will know it's gamesmanship and be able to laugh it off. I've had a lot worse than this tried on me.
It looked to me like Pam was trying to relieve tension in her back and watching Danielle to make sure she wasn't moving fast enough to distract her rather than watching so she could move at the right time to distract her. She was in her line of vision, but I would call that more of an oops than a deliberate act of gameswomanship, but you never know.
Although I don't think Dani will do well in the Michelob, because all the big guns will be there, I expect she will do well on the tour eventually. I also expect Liz, Jan, Pam and Valeria to make a go of professional golf. I especially hope that Valeria can find a way to pursue competetive golf while looking after her kids.

Pam has a lot of growing up to do. She let Danielle get under her skin from the get go. She deserved to lose.

Hi Zori,
Enjoy the game its a great one.
So I loved to watch the big break for women I wonder if the one of men are so personal and exciting.
I think everyone commenting here enjoys watching the Big Breaks. The one for men was also enjoyable. But I get tired of seeing some of the players with WHAT LOOKED LIKE more skill get knocked out. I thought some of the people in BBI, II and III who got knocked out early had more game.
I think that Danielle, is airhead and don't have a filter of what she says,
This was my big complaint. I felt that Danielle had TOO MUCH to say, and was often just blowing smoke. Let the golf do the talking.
what are we judging here the skills or the personality and look?
I'm judging them all by skills. But even Danielle (and someone else, I forget who) said they were wearing provocative clothing on purpose. If you don't want to be judged as a "Barbie Doll", don't wear short-shorts and tease your hair while playing golf. Wear a hat and pants.
WHy women always have to be punished for what they look and act and say?
I'm only punishing her for what she says. If someone says "I drive really well its the best part of my game" and hits 5 drives in a row that go O.B., I'm going to raze them for it (man or woman).
Why don't you condemm the funny guy basketball player that dyes his hair.
I do, Dennis Rodman is a jerk. I don't mind his hair, he's just a jerk.
I think you'll find most of the comments were related to golf and skill. Everyone on this forum loves talking about golf, and sometimes (because were human beings) we get off topic. I don't mind the comments you've made (at all), except when you generalize (all men this, our country that). It makes you sound guilty of the same crime you're accusing us of.

.
So you personally know Dennis?
Dennis may be arrogant, but he was a top college player and, one of the top pro players in the world with 2, or is it 3 world championship rings, Danni needs the Big Break III to even get a chance to go pro.
Dennis is also very serverly ADD and is under constant medication, what is Danni's excuse.

Do you think Danneille will be allowed to dress like that on the tour?
As for the show being geared to talent,i agree with what someone else wrote prior,
That all the talent was eliminated in previous shows.
Cindy was a good golfer, but was carried to the end by winning so many challenges.
Hitting balls at glass panes may be hard to do,but not really a way to judge someones skill level.
I did enjoy the show, and will tune in for the next also.
I think they should keep it ladies only, the catty comments are fun to watch!Dirty...Mean...And Mighty Unclean.

No, I dont...nor do I know Danielle personally, but she comes off like a jerk. I guess that's what I should say "I BELIEVE IN MY OWN PERSONAL OPINION, WHICH THEREFORE CAN NOT BE RIGHT OR WRONG, THAT DENNIS RODMAN COMES OFF AS A JERK."

One of the things that I find iritating about the big break's is that they really aren't "big breaks". They are an excuse to show medicore golf with some "price is right" games around them.
What I'd like to see as a big break reality show is actual PGA Touring pro's playing for exemptions into the majors for a year, or a limited spot into any of the WGC events. The golf would be significantly better, and some of these guys could use the money/experience to vault their career a bit higher.
If they asked 10 of the top 125-150 for a spot to compete at all 4 majors, you don't think any of them would turn it down....
I could think of some very challenging contests for them to do. Skeet shooting with golf balls would be très kool......
Let's see just how good these guys really are

well I would like to know how do we get to know when Danielle will play at the LPGA. I would like to see that. Also with the pros she can't comment so much silliness. I want to see her behavior also her performance. Thanks to you all. we are sharing here with respect and I like this forum. Golfpeasant I appreciate your corrections. what I mean is that the media in USA has created an image of how women must look, look at the commercials, look at the tv programs, and the Barbie doll image has sell for years and years. Look how many girls trying to reach that image do ridiculous things like Danielle, and that is the least, look how many with anorexia etc... in fact in the forum there was one person that commented how ugly she was and the lines of her face were too much for being just 28, well that is a contradiction because if they condem her for her looks then he /she is at the same time condemning her for her lines, so it is bad that she looks barbie, and it is bad that she does not show the perfect face, so ... what is this? a beauty contest? we all fall into those comments when it comes to women. wELL When is the next big break and is it for men or women ? a big hug to you all

Big Break IV is for European tour exemptions ... looks like it will be played in Europe. Also looks like it's for men.
Kip Henley from BBII starts on the Nationwide Tour May 19. He has gotten 2 more sponsors exemptions so he will play 6 Nationwide events plus a Pepsi Pro-Am
Don Donatello has been given 1 Nationwide exemption so far. (in Sept.)

Ya, shell have to watch it with the pros. Wasn't Dotty Pepper saying that on the commentary?
If I could change the world, zori, i would. I think the 20 000 people starving each day would go higher on my list tho. Wasnt it Oscar Wilde who said "The only thing worse than being an object of desire is NOT being an object of desire"?

Danni's First Start
Just wondering if anyone has a prediction of what she will shoot this weekend when she gets out with "the Big Girls"?... Danielle can certainly hit it but there will be alot more distractions to deal with...I'm thinking she shoots 78 first day, then settles down a bit and fires 74 on the second day...
