    My trials today

the Casio: turns itself off as soon as the USB is plugged in. Will have to do more reading as that does not correspond with playing video on TV using the USB/AV port. may just have to press the correct button (s). but given my V1 trial below I doubt I can then set it up as a "webcam" which I think is basically what you would have to do.

PS Eye camera: got the ps eye to work on Win7. Win7 does not like the eye as it would not auto install a driver. Now have CL eye driver installed. It works in the cl eye test program- but the max fps I can choose is 60. Then I open V1. I can choose the ps eye as the camera but........black screen. I can see the ps eye working in the cl eye test window.....so arggggghhhhhh. cheap easy 120 fps a bit hard at this point.

I can't try the casio on hdmi as It has mini hdmi connection and dont have cable......would only be able to test on projector anyway as laptop does not have hdmi in- unless it is a dual in/out? ( I say that because the quickstart guide shows a video player and blueray drive attaching to the hdmi port of the laptop.)

PS3eye should work. Did you have cl eye test window running the same time as V1?

Is RGB mode selected in V1 advanced settings?

1 Yes- was that a problem

    2 Will check

is there any way to fix the 60 fps max option? My google results seem to show it is a bit complex delving into xml files or something.

When you select 320X240 for the image size, it should default to 120fps.

It can only do 60fps at 640X480.

Got V1 and the ps eye working, even upgraded to get the microphone start - handy upgrade voucher to get it for $19.95 - VSWING

had trouble with the mic causing crashes but now ok

Problem is ps eye driver - cl eye test program only allows 30 fps ( I was wrong when I said 60 fps)

Anyone know a fix for the driver as I think 120 fps may well do the trick.

The driver must be switched into "Advanced" mode in order to go above 30 FPS. The only way to do that is as described in the first post in this thread ( http://codelaboratories.com/forums/viewthread/154/P0/ )

It's quite easy (once you understand it)...requiring only the ability to blindly copy/paste four text lines as per the instructions.

Cleye test up and running at 125 fps.
V1 can choose this setting as well. Problem now back to program crashing as soon as I try to record, either manually or microphone.

    Success!

Got V1 to record using the 3rd USB Firefly MV(640X480@60fps). Protee simulation(driving range) was running in window mode(1024X768) side by side with V1. Sure glad I went with a 1080p 16:9 projector. The first two USB Firefly MVs were used by the Protee interface for LA-cam and H-cam. Somehow, the V1 just knew to use the 3rd Firefly. Both the Protee and V1 work beautifully at the same time. No conflicts. I'm super happy!!

CPA, thank you very much for the 50% off code!

Btw, I was able to record using Cswing(free trial) also but didn't get a chance to try it side by side with Protee.

I use my canon ekph 300, problem is it only shoots a minute or so at a time in high speed mode. So I line up a few balls in a row so I get a few swings in on one shoot.

You mean the ELPH 300? No streaming over USB though.

Are yon happy with the 60 fps or still want better?

I can only get the ps eye to operate with V1 at 75 fps, would be nice to have the 200 fps you were looking for.

Oh, I still want better. I'm just happy that I got it working and useable along side the Protee, but I'll continue to keep looking for something faster.

Just bought a used ELPH 100HS($75 Ebay), which is the same as the 300HS but with a 4X zoom instead of 5X. Won't be able to use it in real time with the Protee but this cam will do 120 and 240 fps.

Have been going mad waiting for the gc2 so have used V1 with ps eye cam and microphone trigger to remodel the swing. May be a bit optimistic but have been modeling on V1 download of Aaron Baddelly. Just need the GC2 to convince me to hold the grip looser and swing slower and will be there. Even bought some Truelinks shoes and sub70 gear to make me feel younger.

Has been good to practice the pre swing drill and have improved everything from posture, takeaway(I have always had a bad habit of hinging my wrists first) and follow through. It is great to see instant visual feedback of a swing. The casio cam was too small, slow and inconvenient. Shame it has the fps.

On this page it has cleye config file content. Cut and paste it in new file cleye.config and place it in v1 folder with the EXE file.

Thank you CPA. I did it and after some try and error, it worked!
The problem now is that the videos recorded by the V1 software using the ps eye are recorded in fast speed, like two o three times faster than reality when you play them in normal speed afterwards. Did you have the same issue, how did you handle it?
    Thanks again

There are three buttons on V1 to the right of the stop/pause button

    far right- plays fast
    middle- slow speed
    right- frame by frame

Those of you have purchased the V1 home software have you tried it with two cameras? In video The goatbarn linked here:

    http://www.pgatour.com/video/r/shows...our/index.html

It clearly shows the V1 Home software with two cameras.

    Thanks for the help.

So you can get two licenses for the 1 camera version + two net books computers an new set of golf clubs and still save some money compared to the two camera version

Instead of being the pinup boy for iswing-only 1 cam low fps on phone, Adam Scott should spring for the 2 cam v1.

Since I don't care for the M12 lens, I would just need the V120 board($279) and the case($39). While it's not 240fps, it would certainly be better than my current 60fps camera.

    Good find CPA.

This is what I would suggest you try from 6' away. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-1mm-CS-Mou...item589426acf5

I haven't bought one yet so I don't really know for sure. It's not too expensive so it's worth a try.
