What A Difference 10 Years Makes

In 1995 the leading money winner on Tour was Greg Norman. He made $1.65M in 16 events. Vijay was 9th with $1.02M in 22 events.

In 2005, Tiger is leading the money list with $1.21M after only 2 events and Vijay, in 2nd has already made more in 3 events ($1.11M) than he made in all of 1995.

    Ah inflation...
When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

I don't want to go "there", but that is partially due to a certain individual that has helped golf since his arrival in 96-97.

Its a lot of money but at least in golf if they don't play well they don't get the big bucks, not like other sports....umm hockey.........if that was the case david duval would be making millions even though he can't make a cut. That's one of the good things about golf and the high salaries.

Good thing about golf is that greatness is measured by wins and not the $$$
I've spent most of my life golfing .... the rest I've just wasted"

But that's pretty much every sport. Oddly enough, golf is one of the few that has a ranking system based on money earned...

True, but fortunately to a long contract, Duval has been making millions off his Nike contract...pretty sweet.

Though not as directly related as golf, the NFL is pretty good that way. Bad for the players but good for owners who want to get out of a bad deal. It's hard to tell if you're getting a gem or a dud sometimes. Now the Islanders. No one feels sorry for them.
