line on led tv

Hoping some tech savvy folks might be able to help me out. I have a samsung led tv (5500). I noticed while watching the masters yesterday that there's a small horizontal line on my tv...about 3 inches long...where the picture appears just slightly darker than everywhere else.

Frankly, most of the time its not noticeable, but now that I know it's there, I can't stop looking at it. Wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue, and might know of any fixes. Thanks,

How tall/wide is the line? Can you post a picture of it?

I'd estimate that it's about 8cm long by 3mm in height. I'll see if I can snap a pick later, but I'm not sure how well it will show up.

If that's a full array LED then it could be that a small segment of the LED array has some kind of problem.

if it is under warranty you might get it replaced.

I had an issue with my old toshiba LCD and had a line from top to bottom and when the tech came in from futureshop, all he did was twist it and it was gone. But it was covered under warranty, as I needed a new LCD. They gave me a new TV of like model, or as close as they could. I ended up getting a better one.

Definitely get it replaced as it is a fault. Maybe it was damaged in transport. I have a 46 sam LED and i never had any such issue

Samsung is awesome for their warranty - just contact them and let them know
