Hybrids vs fairway woods
Are you guys getting the same distance on a shot hit with a 5 wood vs an hybrid with both the same loft?

That would not generally be the case since the 5W is usually a couple inches longer.
Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

Not for me. I have a Bobby Jones 5H and my 5 wood goes at least 20 yrds pass it. The shaft is longer on the 5 wood but the hybrid is much easier to control for me.

To fairly compare these, you'd have to drop down in loft in the hybrids to compare to fwys of equal shaft length (comparing a 16* hybrid to a 5wd would be closer in distance than an 18-19* to a 5wd).
